Author Biography

Martina Domino is the author of W World Kids: What in the World is the Coronavirus?, a book that introduces children to important global topics in a relatable way. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Martina holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Southern University and A&M College, specializing in early childhood, elementary, gifted & talented, and special education.


A dedicated mother of three boys, Martina was inspired to write her first book when her young son began asking thoughtful questions about the coronavirus at the onset of the pandemic. This marked the beginning of the W World Kids series, which aims to teach young readers about important topics while promoting diversity and inclusivity through a global cast of characters.


In addition to her work as an author, Martina is an active literacy coach and community advocate. She volunteers extensively with local organizations and frequently leads writing workshops for children and adults. When she’s not writing or working in education, Martina enjoys reading, traveling, and taking part in adventurous activities like snorkeling, zip-lining, and exploring new destinations.
